MEMBERSHIP TYPES

All classes of membership are entitled use all the Club’s amenities and facilities and may be members of the Rowing, Snooker, Squash, Bowls or Social sections.

FULL MEMBERSHIP

Full and Life Members of the Club shall be over the age of eighteen (18) years and shall be entitled to vote at all General Meetings of the Club.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Full Members of the Club shall be over the age of eighteen (18) years. This category of membership caters for “Friends of the ZRC” who wish to be associated with the Club including those who live
abroad or in other parts of the country.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

Full-time students at tertiary education institutions qualify as Student Members

CADET MEMBERSHIP

Persons below the age of eighteen years qualify as Cadet Members.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

We are always pleased to receive applications. Each candidate is assessed individually on their merits and you will need to meet our eligibility criteria. Candidates who live locally and can take advantage of the Club’s facilities throughout the year, are especially welcome. No rowing qualification is required for Club Membership, but rowing connections or interests should be listed under sporting interests. However Candidates are expected to be of ’good fellowship’.

HOW TO APPLY

A candidate for election as a Club Member must have Full or Life Members as his/her Proposer or Seconder. It is your Proposer who applies on your behalf. Your Proposer should have known you for some time and should write in support of your application for Membership.

CLUB LIVERY

Club Members are entitled to wear the Club’s cerise livery.
